It's going to be a revolution on two wheels this summer at Courchevel<\/a>. Mountain bikers will be able to discover a brand new blue route, designed to combine fun, accessibility and safety: \"La Pradam\". This new route will link Courchevel Village to the Lac du Praz via a fluid, fun and above all safer route than the carriage roads used until now.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its 2.2 kilometres of gentle descent and 300 metres of downhill gradient, this trail fills a gap in the resort's cycling offer and completes the arsenal of trails that criss-cross the resort's forests and mountain pastures. It's a project designed to suit all levels of rider, combining technical features with comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Its name resonates like a bridge between past and present: \"La Pradam\" means \"meadows above\" in the local dialect. This is how the inhabitants of Le Praz used to refer to this part of the region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A route designed for pleasure<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A nod to the mountain heritage that Courchevel never forgets to honour, even in its most modern facilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The descent begins in the forest, where the route winds through spruce trees, plays with the curves in the terrain and crosses several streams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wooden footbridges have been built to cross the wet sections, as have a number of technical modules to enhance the descent without making it too challenging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along the way, the trees open out onto wide meadows and a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape, just before reaching Lac du Praz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until now, mountain bikers have had to use bridleways to make this connection, which are often shared with other users, particularly vehicles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
