On the \"P'tites Routes du Soleil\", cycling is synonymous with contemplation, freedom and encounters. This 900km route, from Thonon-les-Bains to Nice, invites you to immerse yourself in the world of the French Pre-Alps, between lakes, hilltop villages, lavender fields and secret belvederes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The name may evoke the warmth of the south, but this is a truly Alpine journey, with over 17,000 metres of ascent and descent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But whether you're a seasoned cyclist or a Sunday racer, there's something for everyone. The 25 passes along the route do not exceed 1,400 metres in altitude, making the adventure accessible even without ultra-cycling preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deep forests, secret gorges, high mountain pastures, windswept plateaux, fragrant lavender fields, picturesque villages and breathtaking views of the Rh\u00f4ne or the Mediterranean: the carefully chiselled route is full of graceful moments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are few cars, but lots of sheep, early morning cuckoos and farmers waving from their tractors. It's a bubble of slowness in a fast-moving world.<\/p>\n\n\n
