Temperatures are rising slowly and the days are getting longer, but France's ski resorts still offer great prospects for late-skiing enthusiasts. Here are the French ski resorts open until May 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>March: the last runs in the earliest resorts<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you plan to put on your skis in March, several resorts close their slopes early in the month:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Until 9 March<\/strong> : <em>Alpe du Grand Serre, Serre-Eyraud, Le Lac Blanc, G\u00e9rardmer, Gr\u00e9oli\u00e8res-les-Neiges<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Until 15 March<\/strong> : <em>Field of Fire<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other resorts are keeping their domains open until <strong>23 March<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Saint-L\u00e9ger-les-M\u00e9l\u00e8zes, La Colmiane, Lans-en-Vercors, Le Mont-Dore, Saint-Colomban-des-Villards, Albiez-Montrond, Chabanon, Montclar<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The end of March saw the closure of well-known stations such as :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Les Angles, Super Besse, Monts Jura, Saint-Lary-Soulan, Ax 3 Domaines, Font-Romeu, La Giettaz, Peyragudes, Combloux, Valberg, La Bresse-Hohneck, Le Collet d'Allevard, Les 7 Laux, Flumet \/ Saint-Nicolas-la-Chapelle, Bernex, Thollon-les-M\u00e9mises.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>April: springtime for skiers<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Snow sports fans will still have plenty to do at the beginning of April, with resorts open until <strong>6 April<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Pralognan-la-Vanoise, Risoul, Chamrousse, Ar\u00eaches-Beaufort, Grand Tourmalet, Morzine, Vars, Val d'Allos, Villard-de-Lans \/ Corren\u00e7on, Crest-Voland-Cohennoz, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, Praz de Lys-Sommand.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Until <strong>13 April<\/strong>Other areas still welcome skiers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Valmorel, Puy-Saint-Vincent, Orci\u00e8res-Merlette, Les Orres, Les Contamines-Montjoie, Le Grand-Bornand, Auron, Le Corbier, Les Karellis, Les Saisies, La Norma, La Toussuire, Aussois, Valmeinier, Valloire, Valfr\u00e9jus, Saint-Fran\u00e7ois-Longchamp, Saint-Sorlin-d'Arves.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest domains will last until the <strong>20-21 April<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Saint-Foy-Tarentaise, Val-Cenis, Brides-les-Bains, Montchavin-La Plagne, M\u00e9ribel, Les Menuires, Saint-Martin-de-Belleville, La Rosi\u00e8re, Le D\u00e9voluy, Isola 2000, La Plagne-Montalbert, Oz 3300, Serre Chevalier, Alpe d'Huez, Cauterets, Vaujany, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, Champagny-en-Vanoise, Courchevel, Avoriaz, Morzine, Montgen\u00e8vre.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>May: the die-hards of winter sports<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the most determined skiers, there are still a few bastions of snow where you can slide right up to the top. <strong>4 May<\/strong> :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Tignes, Les 2 Alpes, Val d'Is\u00e8re, Val Thorens, Chamonix.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These high-altitude resorts generally guarantee optimum snow cover even in spring, but beware: weather conditions can change the opening and closing dates.
