The 6000D (25-27 July 2024), an emblematic trail event that has marked the calendar of runners for over 30 years, returns this summer to La Plagne<\/a> with four exciting new features. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

La 6000D has evolved from a single, demanding race into an event that now includes nine events, attracting a diverse range of participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The warm, friendly atmosphere for which the event is renowned is still on the programme, and is acclaimed by riders, spectators and volunteers alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, more than 2,400 runners have already registered<\/strong>including almost 1,200 for the main race. The organisers are delighted with the \"return to normal<\/em> after the disruption caused by the health crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A host of new features this year <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The highest point of the 6000D is now Live 3000, reaching an altitude of 3,080 metres. The route, although largely unchanged, now includes the ascent to Live 3000, offering an extra challenge with two scree slopes to cross. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spectators and accompanying adults will also be able to take advantage of the new Glaciers cable car and admire the spectacular panorama of the Vanoise glaciers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each runner, whether an individual or a relay, is entitled to a free ascent for one accompanying person. For the general public, the discounted rate for the climb is \u20ac12, valid only on Saturday 27 July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new race open to all, La 6D\u00e9foul\u00e9e<\/strong>is making its debut. This 5km race, with a 250m vertical drop, takes in the Dou du Praz plateau above Plagne Soleil. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow the race using drones and mountain bikers <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Perfect for beginners and teenagers who are too old to take part. 6D Kids<\/strong> but still too young for the other events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 6Challenge<\/strong> offers a unique challenge with three races from Thursday to Saturday: The 6Discovery<\/strong> (11 km), The 6D Lakes<\/strong> (30 km) and The 6D Marathon <\/strong>(43 km). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This challenge meets a growing demand from seasoned racers and offers a new podium opportunity. A preferential rate is offered for registration in the three races, with a reduction of 20 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Savoy-based channel 8 Mont-Blanc will be providing live coverage of the 6000D on Saturday 27 July. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spectators will be able to follow the race via drones and mountain bikers, with interviews and reports broadcast on the channel, social networks and the giant screen at the 6D Expo Village in Aime.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
