Tignes (Alpes du Nord) - Paris may be 700 kilometres from Tignes, but the Savoyard resort is still a key stop-off point in the Olympic preparations of many champions who are obsessed with maximising their chances of winning a historic medal at this summer's Olympic Games on home soil. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n For example, you may be lucky enough to come across the French athletics, handball or cycling teams during your stay. Or during your holiday, Tignes<\/a> is breathtaking scenery at an altitude of 2100 metres, and a whole host of activities - sporting, relaxing and sensational. We tell you all about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We've chosen to introduce you to a useful new feature: the \"My Tignes\" multi-activity pass. It's the key to a whole host of sporting activities during your stay in Tignes. Among them: rifle shooting, tennis, mini-golf, water sports centre, Bike Park... Also, from this summer, all MyTignes passes (4 packages) include unlimited access to the Grande Motte funicular. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The longest funicular railway in France, the Perce-Neige takes you up to the foot of the Grande Motte glacier, at 3032 metres, in just 7 minutes, where you can admire the ice giant, enjoy the Panoramic terrace and take in the exceptional surroundings of the Vanoise National Park. Also new: all lifts are open non-stop from the time they open in the morning until they close at the end of the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n An adrenalin rush at Acroland<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Discover Acroland in Tignes, the ultimate playground for adrenaline-hungry holidaymakers. With three levels of difficulty and a variety of options including slides with springboards, bodyboarding tracks and inflatable buoys, there's something for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n For optimum safety, you'll be supervised by seasoned professionals. Enough to reassure the reluctant. Practical info: the park is open from 22 June to 25 August from 11am to 7pm and from 26 August to 1 September from 2pm to 6pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A game tour to discover the village of Les Br\u00e9vi\u00e8res<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Get together as a family and explore the village of Les Br\u00e9vi\u00e8res. As you wander through the narrow streets, you'll come across a number of enigmas that will give you an original insight into a mountain village.<\/p>\n\n\n The visit will be punctuated with fascinating stories thanks to the presence of a guide-lecturer. Meet up on Sunday 14 July, from 3.00 pm to 4.30 pm, in front of Les Br\u00e9vi\u00e8res church. Please note: you must register in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Test laser biathlon <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Make the most of your stay and try your hand at laser biathlon with friends or family. This activity, which is open to everyone and quite out of the ordinary, is a great way to share a moment of fun and a touch of competition!<\/p>\n\n\n Inspired by Nordic biathlon, laser biathletes have to put in a lot of physical effort, while maintaining the precision required for shooting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Cimalp Tignes Trail <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Taking place on 17 and 18 August, this genuine mountain trail will take you along some of the most beautiful paths in the area, including the Vanoise National Park.<\/p>\n\n\n Technical but accessible, the Cimalp Tignes Trail will be held again in 2024 over three distances of 14 (740D+), 26 (1440D+) and 42 km (2630m D+), as well as three races for youngsters to cater for young runners aged 10 to 17. For the record, the last edition attracted no fewer than 700 runners from the four corners of the globe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The \"\u00c9cran total\" show<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n A preview of Philippe Decoufl\u00e9's \u00c9cran total on the shores of Lac de Tignes is undoubtedly the event not to be missed this summer. The choreographer of the opening ceremony of the 1992 Albertville Olympics has decided to bring his wildly original \"performance show\" to Tignes.<\/p>\n\n\n As night falls, professional dancers from the region will share the stage in an enchanting natural setting. A vibrant tribute to the beauty of movement, which defies time, to dance and the freedom it offers. See you on 13 July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Tignes Golf Open <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Perched at an altitude of over 2,100 metres, the 18-hole golf course at Tignes is the highest in Europe. Set below the Grande Motte glacier, with an exceptional view over the lake, it offers a panorama and contrasts that almost make you forget what's at stake!<\/p>\n\n\n For the second edition of the Tignes Open de Golf, taking place on 3 August, golfers will be able to perfect their swing to the sound of music. A little trivia: the 32-year-old professional golfer from Haute-Savoie, Adrien Saddier, has made this golf course one of his favourite summer training spots!<\/p>\n\n\n\n As is often the case, we've chosen an event to help the planet. There are several in Tignes, but \"Chouchoute ta montagne\" is the one we've chosen to present to you. For the 4th edition, to be held on 22 August, the resort is inviting locals and holidaymakers alike to clean up the mountain of litter.<\/p>\n\n\n In 2023, a total of 542 kg of rubbish was collected by the 150 participants! Also on the programme: events, awareness-raising workshops on the theme of ecology, local crafts... In short, this eco-friendly day promises to be a rich one. And don't forget that the volunteers who collect the most unusual items will be rewarded!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Ynycio Residence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n One of Tignes' most exotic establishments, the premium Ynycio residence will be welcoming holidaymakers for the first time from 6 July to 31 August 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n Far from the usual standards of mountain hotels, this 4* address in Tignes Val Claret is inspired by Argentinean ranches, with a chic, ethnic feel. After a day in the fresh air, you'll love the relaxation area with its hammam, swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hotel Village Montana <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In this 4* mountain-style hotel, everything is designed to free you from the daily grind and allow you to make the most of your holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n The accommodation has an outdoor Nordic swimming pool and a spa with hammam, jacuzzi, saunas and solarium for relaxing moments. Good to know: half-board is available and there is a covered car park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Langley Hotel<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Freshly renovated, the Langley Hotel in the centre of Tignes 2100 is one of the resort's most popular and sought-after hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n Located just 150 metres from the nearest ski lift, you can easily visit the village's bars, caf\u00e9s and shops. Bonus: a spa with panoramic views, including a sauna, hammam and jacuzzi. That's all there is to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Le Plant\u00e9 de B\u00e2ton <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n With Savoyard specialities such as fondue, raclette and tartiflette, you'll have plenty of energy after a morning or day of mountain activities. Yes, who said these dishes could only be enjoyed in winter?<\/p>\n\n\n For those who prefer a lighter fare, the restaurant also serves delicious cr\u00eapes and galettes. The restaurant is open every day from 11am to 10.30pm from 1 July and until 31 August for the 2024 summer season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Moose <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Moose is the ideal place to relax. Now located opposite the post office, its new location offers customers a more pleasant experience.<\/p>\n\n\n With its huge terrace, wide selection of rums, tasty menu of burgers and tapas, and friendly staff, it's clear: you don't need much to be happy. This summer, the restaurant is open from 16 June to 1 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Le Panoramic <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n As its name suggests, the establishment offers an exceptional view: a 360\u00b0 panorama of the ski area. It combines a restaurant, a canteen and a snack take-away area to satisfy every taste.<\/p>\n\n\n In the kitchen, the father and son chef duo bring out the best in dishes cooked over a wood fire, as well as exceptional meats, fish and vegetables cooked in the huge open fireplace.
