Gourmet reopening in Val d'Is\u00e8re: l'Ouillette has been completely renovated and serves Alpine brasserie-style cuisine every lunchtime, with a plancha for grilled meats. <\/p>\n\n\n

Cheese lovers can enjoy a Savoyard fondue on the banks of a pretty lake nestling at an altitude of 2,400 metres. To get there, you can either opt for a hike along the Arolle and Arcelle slopes, or take the ski lifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Events not to be missed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let's get natural!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From 15 to 19 July, holidaymakers can take part in a week dedicated to environmental action. 160 volunteers will be on hand to collect litter on the estate. It's a great way to discover the region through forest walks and to raise awareness of this priority issue among the whole family.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Avaline fair<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Avaline Savoyard Fair invites you to its 19th edition! From 3 to 4 August, 90 local producers and craftspeople will be on hand to offer you old-fashioned waffles, Italian pasta, farmhouse cheeses, farmhouse diots (sausages) and delicious mountain liqueurs. All this, of course, to the sound of brass bands marching through the village.<\/p>\n\n\n

How do I get to Val d'Is\u00e8re? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

By car<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Chamb\u00e9ry, take the A43 motorway, from Grenoble the A41 and from Bourg-Saint-Maurice the D1090 and D902.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By plane<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To get to Val d'Is\u00e8re by plane, you'll need to use Geneva, Lyon, Chamb\u00e9ry or Grenoble airports, all relatively far from the resort. From there, bus transfers are available via the Altibus or Ben's bus networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By train<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resort is well served by the nearby Bourg-Saint-Maurice station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
