While property prices in France are falling overall, the price per square metre in high-altitude ski resorts is holding steady, according to the latest survey by Meilleurs Agents.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's a market in a class of its own, with its own and sometimes surprising logic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the mountains, and particularly in well-known resorts, real estate is doing well<\/a>with prices on the rise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the latest figures from Best Agents<\/a>The mountain property market recorded an average rise in prices per square metre of 2 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These figures need to be qualified, as the increase mainly applies to luxury, high-altitude ski resorts, whereas low-altitude resorts are seeing their prices fall<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The higher the altitude, the higher the prices <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Unsurprisingly, the resorts of the Northern Alps top the list, with an average price per square metre of \u20ac7,003 in February 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the last three years, the resorts of the Northern Alps recorded an increase in property prices of 20 %<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n

Resorts such as Val d'Is\u00e8re (15,268 euros\/m2) and Courchevel (12,812 euros\/m2), M\u00e9ribel<\/a> (\u20ac12,230\/m2) and Meg\u00e8ve (\u20ac11,670\/m2). are the most expensive and are still highly rated<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conversely, lower-altitude resorts such as Lac Blanc in the Vosges (\u20ac1,350\/m2) have seen prices fall by -2.8% in 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Massif Central is the second most affected massif after the Vosges, with a fall of -1.1 % and a price per square metre now standing at \u20ac2,442.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
