A ski resort without... ski lifts! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Skiers can enjoy 11 signposted ascent routes, <a href=\"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/which-are-the-best-resorts-for-ski-touring\/\">based on the ski touring model<\/a>You'll be able to climb the slopes before enjoying a free descent over a vast 36km\u00b2 off-piste area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The resort is focusing on safety by providing complete kits, including touring skis, splitboards, backpacks equipped with avalanche transceivers, four-season sleeping bags and a shovel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">No ski lifts, but slopes to climb<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to replace the ski lifts, the Italian resort's official website states that the entire area surrounding Montespluga\u00a0<em>\"It's a huge slope to climb up and down, either on your own or accompanied by Alpine guides\".<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The initiative is the brainchild of Tommaso Lazzuna and Paolo Pichielo, two skiing enthusiasts who took advantage of the Covid-19 pandemic to develop this new concept.
