This is the flagship resort of the Dolomites, with 175 km of pistes at altitudes of between 1428 and 2450 m. Val Gardena<\/a> is part of Europe's largest cross-country skiing area, with a total of 1,000 km of cross-country ski trails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, the resort hosts two rounds of the World Cup: the super-G and the men's downhill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These competitions attract the best skiers from all over the world to perform on the resort's legendary slopes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Val Gardena also boasts a snow park, Piz Sella, at an altitude of 2158 metres and a length of 750 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n

2. Courmayeur<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Located in the heart of the Alps, at the foot of Mont Blanc, Courmayeur<\/a> is one of the world's leading destinations for mountaineering and skiing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the height of the season, Courmayeur is a winter sports paradise for skiers and snowboarders alike, with slopes culminating at an altitude of 1,224 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Italy's mountaineering capital, the region offers a multitude of hiking and climbing routes that challenge the most daring, making Courmayeur a 4-season resort.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n

3. Via Lattea<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Via Lattea<\/a>also known as the Milky Way. one of Italy's largest ski areas<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stretching over 400 kilometres of pistes, it crosses the Italian-French border region near Turin, and also includes the Montgen\u00e8vre ski resort in France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With over 200 runs, including 96 blue and 84 black, and altitudes ranging from 1,380 to 2,800 metres, this area offers a diverse environment for skiers of all abilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resort gained worldwide renown when it hosted the 2006 Winter Olympics.<\/p>\n\n\n

4. Madonna Di Campiglio<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Madonna di Campiglio<\/a> stands out as one of the most popular and chic ski resorts in the Italian Alps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It offers a luxurious atmosphere that attracts a wealthy international clientele. Madonna di Campiglio has over 150 km of ski slopes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most experienced skiers can take on the famous \"Canal Miramonti\" run, which regularly hosts rounds of the Ski World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Nordic skiers, the resort offers 22 km of pistes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n
