La Plagne is gearing up for a host of winter highlights, including the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup and the 72nd Challenge des Moniteurs. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Aime's Christmas Market is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. On the programme: shows, brass band, exhibitors, traditional children's carols, a visit from Father Christmas... <\/p>\n\n\n\n And to celebrate this 20th edition in style, C\u00e9leste, a luminous puppet, will be putting on a show at the end of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Access to the market is free. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Considered to be one of the most technical tracks in the world, the Olympic bobsleigh track will be the playground for the world's elite on this stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The representatives from La Plagne, Lucas Defayet (skeleton) and Margot Boch (monobob) will be taking part. The latter will also be taking part in the two-up event with Carla S\u00e9n\u00e9chal (substitute: Talia Solitude).<\/p>\n\n\n Training will take place from 4 to 7 December, the skeleton competition on 8 December and the bobsleigh competition on 9 and 10 December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Access is open to the public. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n It's THE first big moment of the season: the opening weekend of the ski area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n READ MORE: <\/strong>Ski resort opening dates: we take stock<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n A host of events will be organised for the occasion at La Plagne Bellec\u00f4te (partners' village, themed evenings, after ski, DJ set, torchlight descent, fire show...).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Visit Santa's chalet and take a souvenir photo with him, enjoy a concert by the Xmas Girls duo performing Christmas classics while sampling the famous Savoyard fondue, listen to the elf batucada as they wander the streets, enjoy a reindeer ball, listen to the goose fanfare... The magic of Christmas will be more than present in La Plagne this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n On 25 December, Santa's farewell to the ski area and snow fronts, Mother Christmas' traditional tea party, torchlight descent and fireworks display will bring the day to life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Access is free for all events. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The new year 2024 will be celebrated with the 2nd edition of the \"Neige de Feu\" fireworks show.<\/p>\n\n\n It is orchestrated from the summit of the Dou du Praz and the soundtrack is broadcast simultaneously on R 'La Plagne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Free event.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n In Champagny-le-Haut, in a polar atmosphere, the greatest champions of the discipline take on the 22 m high ice tower, the only one of its kind in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Free public access.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Supporting the French Cup for all categories and the French Youth Championship (U18 and U20), this ski mountaineering event takes place over two days, with two events on the programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n A new sprint in Montalbert on January 20 and an individual format on January 21, in the original spirit of the discipline on the Versant du Soleil, high above the village of Granier (710 to 1,900 m D+). Both races are part of the French championship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Free public access.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n This frosty gathering brings together 400 to 500 mountain enthusiasts of all kinds around the Champagny-le-Haut ice tower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n It's a festive, ultra-friendly weekend that's no longer to be missed, with the main highlight being the crazy multi-event tournament on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Free public access.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n For the second year running, the 2022 Beijing Olympic freestyle ski runner-up is bringing together the next generation of women's freestyle skiers at the Riders Nation snowpark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n25 November: Christmas market <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
