La Plagne is gearing up for a host of winter highlights, including the Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup and the 72nd Challenge des Moniteurs. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

25 November: Christmas market <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aime's Christmas Market is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. On the programme: shows, brass band, exhibitors, traditional children's carols, a visit from Father Christmas... <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And to celebrate this 20th edition in style, C\u00e9leste, a luminous puppet, will be putting on a show at the end of the day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to the market is free. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

8-10 December: Bobsleigh and Skeleton World Cup <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Considered to be one of the most technical tracks in the world, the Olympic bobsleigh track will be the playground for the world's elite on this stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The representatives from La Plagne, Lucas Defayet (skeleton) and Margot Boch (monobob) will be taking part. The latter will also be taking part in the two-up event with Carla S\u00e9n\u00e9chal (substitute: Talia Solitude).<\/p>\n\n\n

Training will take place from 4 to 7 December, the skeleton competition on 8 December and the bobsleigh competition on 9 and 10 December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access is open to the public. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

16-17 December: Opening of the ski area <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It's THE first big moment of the season: the opening weekend of the ski area. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A host of events will be organised for the occasion at La Plagne Bellec\u00f4te (partners' village, themed evenings, after ski, DJ set, torchlight descent, fire show...).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

23-25 December: The Magic of Christmas <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Visit Santa's chalet and take a souvenir photo with him, enjoy a concert by the Xmas Girls duo performing Christmas classics while sampling the famous Savoyard fondue, listen to the elf batucada as they wander the streets, enjoy a reindeer ball, listen to the goose fanfare... The magic of Christmas will be more than present in La Plagne this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 25 December, Santa's farewell to the ski area and snow fronts, Mother Christmas' traditional tea party, torchlight descent and fireworks display will bring the day to life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access is free for all events. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

31 December: Fire Snow <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new year 2024 will be celebrated with the 2nd edition of the \"Neige de Feu\" fireworks show.<\/p>\n\n\n

It is orchestrated from the summit of the Dou du Praz and the soundtrack is broadcast simultaneously on R 'La Plagne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

18-20 January: Junior World Cup\/European Championships Icefall <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Champagny-le-Haut, in a polar atmosphere, the greatest champions of the discipline take on the 22 m high ice tower, the only one of its kind in Europe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

20-21 January: French Ski Mountaineering Championships <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Supporting the French Cup for all categories and the French Youth Championship (U18 and U20), this ski mountaineering event takes place over two days, with two events on the programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new sprint in Montalbert on January 20 and an individual format on January 21, in the original spirit of the discipline on the Versant du Soleil, high above the village of Granier (710 to 1,900 m D+). Both races are part of the French championship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

26-28 January: 20th edition of the Gorzderette <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This frosty gathering brings together 400 to 500 mountain enthusiasts of all kinds around the Champagny-le-Haut ice tower. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It's a festive, ultra-friendly weekend that's no longer to be missed, with the main highlight being the crazy multi-event tournament on Saturday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Date to be confirmed in February: Roxy Ride Days by Tess Ledeux <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the second year running, the 2022 Beijing Olympic freestyle ski runner-up is bringing together the next generation of women's freestyle skiers at the Riders Nation snowpark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A day of meeting, sharing and competing for young riders aged 11 to 16.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3-4 February: French Orienteering Championships <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Two formats will be on offer this year: a competitive course and a leisure course open to all (registration on site). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A discipline practised in free-style cross-country skiing on the Champagny-le-Haut Nordic area. The aim? To find the markers that can be reached on skis in a set order and using the route of your choice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

14 February-6 March: Winter Family Race <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Every Wednesday, a non-timed family event will be organised starting in Montchavin. The podium will then reward the three best teams. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

25 February: Grand Bec Marathon <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Champagny-le-Haut, the Marathon du Grand Bec is a popular cross-country ski race with several distances to choose from: 42 km, 21 km, 10 km, 5 km, 3 km and 1.5 km for the youngest. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

29 February: Born to be show <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Orchestrated by the Club des Sports de La Plagne, a breeding ground for champions, the \"Born to be show\" is a ski show with sound and light, including demonstrations of the various winter sports disciplines.<\/p>\n\n\n

Pisteurs, instructors and groomers will spice up the show, which will end with a fireworks display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 March: Odyss\u00e9a <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The big pink solidarity race will be on the programme this year. More information will be released by the resort in the coming weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9 March: Triface <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 3rd edition of \"Triface, ski touring on the three peaks\" will be taking place this year, with a sunset start as always. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Triface comprises three loops starting from Plagne Centre and taking in the peaks of Grande Rochette, Verdons and B\u00e9coin. This is the only night race of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

17 March: Snow Foot <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The football tournament on snow organised by the FCHT (Football Club de Haute Tarentaise) at the top of the Montalbert cable car is on the programme for this winter 2023-2024 at La Plagne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

28-24 March: Para Sport World Cup <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For the second time, La Plagne is hosting a stage of the Parabob World Cup. Training will take place from 18 to 22 March. The competition will take place on 23 and 24 March. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

20 March: Montalbinks - Street food event<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Montalbinks association, in partnership with the tourist office, will be staging the second winter edition of this street food event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A number of restaurateurs and caterers will be relocating their kitchens to
in Montalbert's central square, offering classic and original street food recipes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There will be plenty of entertainment on the day, including a craft market, a waiters' race and three DJs from the Akta Records label. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

23 March: Les Diables Bleus <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The 7th edition of this ski mountaineering race, which is unique in that its course combines an ascent and a descent on a marked off-piste route, will be held on 23 March. <\/p>\n\n\n

Competitors will race on the former training course of the 7th Battalion of Alpine Chasseurs. Two formats are on the programme: 1000 m D+ and leisure 400 m D+. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can take part as part of a team.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

6-11 April: Subli'Cimes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This festive spring event in the ski area will be celebrating its 8th year. Five emblematic peaks will come alive to celebrate Printemps du Ski. The event is free with a valid lift pass. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accessible to skiers and pedestrians.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

15-20 April: Challenge des Moniteurs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is THE highlight of the end of the 2023-2024 season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

And for its 72nd edition, this annual competition will be stopping off at La Plagne for the fourth time in its history, the first time since 2003. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A veritable \"French championship for ESF instructors\", the event will feature around forty events (alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, telemark, skicross, snowboardcross, freestyle skiing and snowboarding, ski touring). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
