{"id":84959,"date":"2025-01-02T15:30:00","date_gmt":"2025-01-02T14:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/?p=84959"},"modified":"2025-01-02T15:08:21","modified_gmt":"2025-01-02T14:08:21","slug":"recipe-for-making-a-successful-homemade-tartiflette","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/recette-comment-realiser-et-reussir-sa-tartiflette-maison\/","title":{"rendered":"Recipe: How to make a successful home-made tartiflette?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tartiflette is a dish from the French Alps, made with potatoes, bacon, onions, Reblochon cheese and cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"related\"><a href=\"https:\/\/petit-montagnard.fr\/en\/recipe-for-meat-pierrade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Recipe: Which meats go well with a pierrade? <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here's a simple recipe for a delicious home-made tartiflette. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1.5 kg potatoes (firm-fleshed variety)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>200 g smoked bacon<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 large onions, thinly sliced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>200 ml double cream<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 Reblochon cheese (about 500 g)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>50 g of butter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preparation of ingredients :<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Peel the potatoes and cut into slices about 5 mm thick.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chop the onions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cut the Reblochon cheese in half to make two discs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cooking potatoes :<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cook the potato slices in a large pan of boiling salted water for about 5 minutes, until slightly tender. Don't overcook them, as they will finish cooking in the oven.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Preparing the filling :<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>While the potatoes are cooking, fry the lardons in a pan over medium heat until lightly browned. Add the chopped onions and cook until translucent and slightly caramelised. Remove from the heat.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Assembling the tartiflette :<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Generously butter a casserole dish.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arrange a first layer of potatoes in the dish, then cover with half the bacon and onion mixture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Place one of the Reblochon discs on top.
